Value Engineering Talk By IEE

Begawan - IEE Brunei recently organised a technical talk
entitled "Value Engineering", which was delivered by Mr Leong Voon
Choon and attended by 22 members and nonmembers from the private and
public sector at IEE branch office in Anggerek Desa.
Value Engineering (VE) is a
systematic and organised procedural decision making process which has
been used in most engineering applications.
The talk included an overview of VE,
which covers its origin, the basic principles, typical applications,
VE timing and the VE process. Cases of past success stories on VE
workshops and projects were also shared.
The talk concluded with a
question-and-answer session open to members of the audience.

Voon Choon is currently working as the Capital to Value Co-coordinator
in Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP).
According to IEE Brunei, the
institute will be organising more technical talks and overseas visits
including an upcoming talk on various topics such as the dangers
associated with unsafe use of non-standard electrical appliance at
home and at work, Transient Surge Protection for Commercial &
Industrial Facility, SCADA System for Water Distribution and Sewerage
Systems in Brunei.
