Police On Alert For Errant Motorists

Bandar Seri Begawan - Police personnel are keeping a close eye on errant motorists who violate the traffic rules causing congestion in the capital.

Scores of police personnel from the central police station, led by Sgt. Zaini and In-Charge Beat Hj Maidin, issued summons to motorists who double-parked their cars and left them unattended yesterday.

Stern warnings were also given to drivers who parked their cars at prohibited places such as next to the taxi station.

The police also monitored pedestrians who failed to use the zebra crossing and drivers who failed to stop at such crossings.

There has been an increase in traffic not only in the capital but also at the Kiulap, Gadong and Serusop areas as Bruneians are busy preparing for the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
