Bravery Award For Securicor Staff
For Saving Students In Distress
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Securicor recently presented a 'Bravery Award' to its
security personnel Awg Hasmadi bin Awg Hamiddun for saving the lives
of two school children.
The incident occurred on September 9,
along Batu 1, Jalan Tutong, when two schoolgirls - aged between 8 and
11 - fell into a fast flowing flooded drain and were in the process of
being washed away by the current under a drain culvert.
Acting instinctively and putting his
skills as well as expertise to use, Awg Hasmadi was able to pull the
girls to safety, saving them from drowning.
The presentation ceremony was held
last Thursday. The event saw Securicor General Manager Ambrose Nathan
