Anti-booze and traffic check at
Kuala Lurah

Another joint operation was conducted
at the immigration control post in Kuala Lurah to catch Muslims who
cross the border to illegally drink alcohol as well as to nab traffic
offenders. The two-hour operation by the police and the Religious
Enforcement officers began at 8pm.
Six Religious Enforcement personnel
were involved led by Awg Mohamad B. Rasit, while the police were led
by Pg. Hj Damit.
Three Muslims including two foreign
nationals were questioned for crossing the border and allegedly
consuming alcoholic drinks.
However, no traffic violations were
detected. The police warned that such an operation will be conducted
from time to time.
