BLNG Technicians Wind Up Training
At ITB
Bandar Seri
Begawan – Ten mechanical technicians from the Brunei Liquefied
Natural Gas (BLNG) yesterday received their certificates completing a
training programme from July to September this year.
The training demonstrated the
cooperation between the Institute Technology of Brunei (ITB) and the
BLNG intended to upgrade the career of personnel in both the public
and private sectors.
Dato
Haji Yusra, Director of ITB, the country's highest Institute for
Engineering and Technological Education and Training, presented the
certificates to the trainees.
The BLNG first introduced the
engineering technician progression scheme in early 2000 for its staff
in all engineering disciplines.
The scheme is designed to perform
their work safely and efficiently. In addition, the scheme is expected
to develop their theoretical background as well as practical
knowledge.
BLNG
technicians have greatly benefited from the training conducted by the
experienced academics of ITB using modern equipment and facilities.
The knowledge and training through
the scheme is expected to strengthen the capabilities of BLNG
technicians in carrying out their duties in the field. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
