Ministry Integrates ICT To Enhance Teaching

Bandar Seri Begawan - Integrating info-technology communication (ICT) across the school curriculum is one of the many initiatives of the Ministry of Education to enhance teaching and learning in the schools.

The project, which started on the 14th of July, ended yesterday morning with a certificate presentation for the course participants at the University Brunei Darussalam's Chancellor Hall.

Present to hand over the certificates was Dato Awang Haji Suyoi, Deputy Minister of Education.

A total of 270 teachers from all government schools in the country and the Ministry of Education officers attended the professional staff development course for 16 weeks.

To implement this initiative in the government primary and secondary schools, a budget of $530,000 was awarded to a local service provider through the short-term economic recovery project of the Department of Economic Planning and Development at the Prime Minister's Office.

Dato Haji Suyoi also visited an exhibition made up of projects made by participants. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
