Beer Smuggler And Pump Thief Detaind

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Limau Manis Police Station last night detained four locals for pushing smuggled alcohol and for theft.

Two men from different areas were apprehended by the Limau Manis police officers following a tip off from the public.

The first raid was made at a house in Kampong Bebuluh at around 8.30 pm. In the raid, the officials found 24 cans of alcoholic drinks in a basket locally known as 'Tekiding' in an empty room in the ground floor of the house.

The second raid was made at a house in Kampong Bengkurong around 9.40 pm. Here the officials found 130 cans of alcoholic drinks of various brand and nine cartons and five packets of Perillys cigarettes. All the goods were confiscated.

In another case, one set of 3hps electric motor and a spray pump model cp 303 Teco was recovered last night from a house at Kampong Tanjung Bunut.

The raid was launched following a report made on the 18th of this month that the item was stolen from the Bengkurong Masin IMF chicken farm area.
