Brunei-Uganda Diplomatic Relations Established

Bandar Seri Begawan - The government of His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and the government of Republic of Uganda have decided to establish diplomatic relations with effect from yesterday.

The signing of the joint communiqué took place at the office of the Permanent Representative of Brunei to the United Nations in New York.

The government of His Majesty was represented by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei to the United Nations, Haji Shofry Haji Abdul Ghafor whilst the Permanent Representative of the Republic to the United Nations Mr. Francis K.Bitagira, represented the government of the Republic of Uganda. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
