Concorde tickets sell on eBay for over £37,000

New York - An American desperate to be one of the last passengers to fly across the Atlantic on Concorde purchased a pair of tickets for £37,453.42.

British Airways and NBC's Today Show joined forces to auction the ticket's for airliner's penultimate day of service for charity.

After an initial bid of £16,160, Mr Hayes ensured seats for himself and his wife Patty on the jet by continually bidding in the three day eBay auction.

His 32 bids amounted to almost half of the 69 placed in total. -- Annanova News
