New Mosque For Kampong Kelugos Begins

Tutong - Kampong Kelugos in the Tutong District will soon have a new mosque. Yesterday morning, the ground-breaking ceremony for is construction was held at the site.

Pehin Dato Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Mohamad Zain Bin Haji Serudin, the Religious Affairs Minister and Dato Dr Awang Haji Ahmad the Development Minister were among those who were involved in the ceremony.

The construction of the new mosque could be completed in February next year. Costing of more than $1.2 million the money comes from the Asnaf Al-Gharimin tithe collection.

The new mosque is located in kampong Kelugos, Jalan Sinaut, Tutong. It can accommodate 700 male worshippers and a congregation of 100 females.

The facilities to be provided include a multi-purpose hall, a library, a storeroom, male and female abulation areas and parking lots for eighty vehicles. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
