Belait Transit Homes Ready For
Those Who Waited
Kuala Belait -
Applicants awaiting resettlement to new homes through the
Belait Housing Development Scheme will be allocated temporary shelter
with the completion of 44 units of two-storey terrace houses.
Built at a cost of $1.8 million, the
construction of the terrace houses by a local company in September
2001 was completed early July this year.
Each unit consists three bedrooms, a
living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. To date, the Belait Housing
Development Derpartment has received more than 300 applications for
the transit homes.
The handing over of keys to the new
terrace house was held yesterday morning. Noolaila Jaya Company, a
local contractor, presented the keys to the Deputy Director of
Housing, Pengiran Mohiddin Bin Pengiran Moahamd Daud, who in turn gave
the keys to the Belait Housing Development Officer, Awang Pungut Haji
