Of Life In Tokyo
Tokyo -
The Japanese community is rich with various traditional cultures. RTB
crew in the Asean-Japan Exchange Year 2003 had a closer look in these
unique Japanese traditions.
One of its unique traditions is the
art of tea or Chanoyu. In order to preserve this culture much effort
has been made by some institutions in Japan.
This includes, the International
Chado Culture Foundation. It provides an opportunity to make and serve
a bowl of tea and become acquainted with the procedure of being a
guest.
Current culture of Japan has also
attracted worldwide including its animation. RTB crew also viewed in
the making of the Japanese animation at the Suginami Animation Studio
in Tokyo.
Japan has one of the worlds most
highly developed transportation systems. We had the opportunity to
visit one of its station in Shibuya conducted by the Japan Railways
(JR).
Shibuya is located in the heart of
Tokyo, a district for young generation centre of Japan.
Various up-to-date fashions and
trends can also be seen here. There is also a famous meeting place
around a dog statue, Hachiko.
Our next destination is the Toyota
city show case pavilion. It's a showroom where we can see various
types of Toyota cars, history garage, future world and more.
We also experienced the e-com ride, a
total automatic car drive. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
