His Majesty Leaves Bangkok After APEC

Bangkok - His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei left Bangkok, yesterday afternoon upon completion of the 11th APEC Economic Leaders Meeting.

Before departing from the hotel where His Majesty resided, the Doa Selamat prayer was read by Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz Bin Juned, the State Mufti.

Present at the airport to bid farewell to His Majesty was the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Mr Korn Dabaransi and senior officials of the Thai government.

Also present were the ambassador of Brunei to Thailand, His Excellency Dato Haji Mohamad Yunos as well as officers of the embassy. With the many praises that have been said of this year's APEC forum, the next APEC Economic Leaders Meeting, in Chile late next year, will no doubt be a worthy act to follow, observers said. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
