Repeat Drug Offender Behind Bars

Begawan - A 46-year-old Bruneian was sentenced to 3 years and 6
months imprisonment after the Magistrate’s Court found him guilty for
consuming a controlled drug, Methylamphetamine.
The defendant, Pg Anak Abd Rahman,
was convicted yesterday of consuming the said drug on July 11 last
year.
Pg Othman Pg Hj Ali, the Narcotics
Control Bureau Prosecutor said five witnesses were called to give
evidence after the defendant had pleaded not guilty to the charge in
an earlier hearing. According to him, the defendant was arrested by
the NCB officers at a house in Kampong Masin.
The defendant has previous
convictions under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
