Indian warships arrive at Muara
for goodwill visit

Two warships, INS Kulish and INS
Ranjit from the Indian Eastern Fleet commanded by the VSM Flag
Officer, Rear Admiral Raman Prem Suthan, arrived in Brunei Darussalam
yesterday morning.
Soon after the vessels docked at
Muara Commercial Wharf, the visitors were welcomed by the Acting
Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, Lt Colonel (L) Syed Abdillah
bin Dato Syed Hj Hussein, and more than 100 Royal Navy officers and
personnel.
Rear Admiral Raman Prem Suthan is
expected to have a busy schedule during the three-day goodwill visit,
including a courtesy call on the Commander of RBAF, High Commissioner
of India and a visit to the Royal Regalia.
Yesterday Rear Admiral Raman Prem
Suthan met with the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF),
Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi,
at the Ministry of Defence in Bolkiah Garrison.
The warships are now preparing to
welcome aboard public visitors on Wednesday from 3pm to 5pm and from
10am to 1pm on Thursday.
The ships are expected to depart
Brunei on Friday morning.
