Datin Paduka Hjh Zaharah binti Hj Idris, wife of the educational minister, was the guest of honour at the joint Tungku and Bunut branches Mini Convocation 2003 ceremony of Alif Kindergarten and Primary School held at the Beribi Religious School yesterday morning.

She was greeted upon arrival by the representative of the Alif School Board of Directors, Hjh Noor Khadizah binti Hj Abu Naim. The chief guest congratulated the Alif Kindergarten and Primary School for successfully creating a dual educational systems, i.e. academic and 'syariah'.

Some 34 students from Kindergarten 2 received their certificates from Datin Paduka Hjh Zaharah. Several awards were also and being granted, including Excellent Student 2003, Excellence in Attendance.

Mohd Abd Azim bin Ahmad Abd Karim (in photo) and Amal Hayatun Shamilah binti Abd Rahman were awarded 'Mithali' Student 2003 for the Bunut and Tungku branches.
