Bella and the gang topping the race.
Bella and the gang emerged as the
champion yesterday in the 'Cabaran Kembara Datalish 2003' held in
conjunction with the World Heart Day 2003.
The champion, one of the three groups
from Fencing Federation of Brunei Darussalam, collected the highest
points, followed by team 'Bersatu Teguh' from the Tutong District and
team 'Blacklist' from Sayyidina Hussein Secondary School.
Besides winning second place, team 'Bersatu
Teguh' also won a special prize for being the first team to reach the
checkpoint, clocking at 1 hour and 18 minutes.
All the three teams received a trophy
each and cash money, which will be given during a prize presentation
dinner to be held soon.
The seven teams which participated in
the event are 'Bersatu Teguh', Bella and the gang, Blacklist, Last
Minute, So What, 'Pemburu 15' and Chicko.
According to the Race Manager from
Datalish Adventure of Brunei Darussalam, every team must go to 10
target points (places) such as the Gadong fish market, Mitsubishi car
agent, the Coffee Bean, the Hyundai car agent, and the Borneo
Bulletin.
"We had volunteers waiting for every
team at each target point to give out questions that the teams were
required to answer. Soon after answering the questions, the teams had
to move to another target point to solve more questions," said the
Race Manager.
He also expressed his appreciation to
the PAP Rashidah Nursing College students of Year 3 and others who
volunteered in the event.
The event was organised by Persatuan
Jururawat of Brunei Darussalam (PENJURU) and the PAP Rashidah Nursing
College in joint cooperation with the Datalish Adventure.
