Some 350 KG3 students attended the
41st kindergarten convocation of the Chung Hwa Middle School yesterday
afternoon.
The guest of honour, Mr. Ang Swee
Chuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the school, gave out the
certificates to the graduating students.
School principal Mdm Kho Guik Lan
congratulated the graduating students and expressed her gratitude to
the teachers who have been taking care of the children and teaching
them.
The teachers taught the children in a
well organised environment offering a variety of play experiences and
in search of innovative ideas for use in the classroom. They regularly
conferred among themselves and arrived at innovative strategies for
children's optimum learning, she said.
She said a large number of parents
turned up to witness their children's first graduation. With the
school's open door policy of involving the parents in the education of
their children, the latter easily adapted to the school as their
second home, she said.
Three children gave farewell speeches
in English, Mandarin and Malay. A $2,711 cheque donation from the
graduating classes to the school was presented by two graduates to the
principal.
For the finale, every graduate sang
the graduation and school songs.
