cleaning campaign

Around eighty people participated in
a cleaning campaign that was held yesterday at the Muhammad Jamalul
Alam Mosque.
This event was organised by its
Takmir Committee, Muslims and youths in collaboration with the
Welfare, Sports and Social Body of Municipal Board in Kuala Belait and
Seria as well as in joint cooperation with the fire department.
The aim was to strengthen
relationships of the community and prayer groups.
Present during that day were chairman
of the aforementioned Municipal Board, Abd Majid Alias, senior
officers and others.
Prior to the cleaning campaign,
participants performed the Sunat prayers.
Participants not only cleaned the
internal and external areas of the mosque but also planted new trees
around its vicinity.
The project was done in view of
approaching holy time of Ramadhan, when various religious events will
be held throughout.
They include talks before the
breaking of fasts, talks on Nuzul Al-Quran, a Tedarus ceremony as well
as Terawih and Witir prayers.
