Smarter Brunei concludes autism
forum, gets ASD centre in KB

Smarter Brunei recently concluded a
forum on autism at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club in Kuala Belait.
Present as chief guest was KB's
District Officer, Adnan Hj Hanafiah.
In a speech, he praised Smarter
Brunei members for their commitments in ensuing that a child with
special needs is not neglected.
It aimed to instil awareness among
residents there on the aforementioned issue and how Smarter Brunei has
been providing valuable information on this subject.
In one of the presentations, the
mother of an autistic child revealed that their child had much
benefited from the association's programmes, which included playing in
groups and other social activities conducted at Smarter Brunei ASD
Centre.
Various interesting experiences were
also shared at the event by other parents.
Before launching the "$1 for Smarter"
campaign, Adnan Hj Hanafiah urged public and private firms in Kuala
Belait to give Smarter Brunei their full support and contributions to
this noble cause.
The official handing-over ceremony of
ASD Centre for KB was also held in its conjunction.
Smarter Brunei will make use of a
bungalow donated by BSP for its worthwhile purposes.
