$1255 and handphone stolen from
barber
By Rosdin Hj Abdul Aziz
A barber recently had his money
amounting to $1255 and a mobile phone stolen during two separate
incidents.
He said, "I just cannot believe my
misfortune as this is the first time anything like this has ever
happened to me since I've been in Brunei."
The man claimed that the first
incident occurred when he had just finished his Friday prayers. He
discovered that the drawer of his barber shop had been ransacked and
that $680 as well as his mobile phone were missing.
The second incident occurred a few
days later at his residence near his barber shop. 10,000 rupees
(B$400) and $175 in Brunei currency were taken from his bag which was
always locked. This occurred at around 10 pm after he had finished
work.
The barber only realised that his
belongings were missing when the place where he usually hangs his
clothes had been moved and when he searched for his bag he found that
his money had been stolen.
