Brunei Cyclists Around Labuan On An Expedition

Labuan - More than 20 participants from "BERUMAH" body from the Housing Development Department, Ministry of Development this morning left for Labuan for a bicycle expedition.

The participants will begin the expedition on Satursday on bicycles covering about 70 km around Labuan. The expedition led by the expedition chairman, Haji Harun Bin Hj. Mohamad.

He said the current effort is the first being organised as one of the annual event to foster closer rapport among expedition participants from both countries. While cycling they will also take the chance to visit several places of interest in Labuan.

The participants were welcomed in Labuan by the Wisma Perbadanan Labuan officers. Apart from bicycle expedition , they also organised several sports events such as bowling and other sports.

As this is going to be our annual event we are looking forward to organize such sports to other neghbouring states such as Limbang and Miri, said Haji Harun. The participants will arrive back in Brunei on Sunday. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
