Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Chess Federation is organising a chess blitz tournament open to all enthusiasts of ail apes.

The tourney is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday October 19, at the Chess Centre at Simpang 607 in Kg Beribi.

Competition will be over nine rounds, wirt a time control of 10 minutes and 5 seconds increment per game.

The Swiss system will be used for pairing, players, and International Master Nasib Ginting shall be the arbitrator for the tournament.

The $5 entrance fee per participant will include the provision of food and drinks.

The prize-giving ceremony will coincide with prize-giving for the winners of the regular Wednesday Chess League 2003, scheduled for 6.30pm at the same venue, on the same day. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
