Police hold passing-out parade

A passing-out parade, consisting 125
police recruits, was held yesterday morning at the Parade Square of
the Police Training Centre in Gadong.
A total of 25 women and 90 men
recruits from the 1/2003 Squad successfully completed their basic
police training.
The guest of honour was Chief Justice
Dato Paduka Awang Haji Kifrawi bin Dato Paduka Haji Kifli.
During his speech, he advised new
recruits to use the knowledge they had gained during training and
applied it to the job that had been entrusted to them.
He also said knowledge itself may not
be enough when it came to performing daily duties. Therefore, they
must be motivated to learn from their senior officers in order to
perform their jobs better.
Earlier, Dato Paduka Awang Haji
Kifrawi was given a salute shortly after his arrival at the Parade
Square. He then inspected the guard of honour by the new recruits.
Also in attendance was Commissioner
of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Abd Rahman bin Haji Johan.
The chief guest also proceeded to
presenting certificates to the best male and female recruits.
Rek
4789 Suraini bte Haji Sabli was picked as the overall best female
recruit while Rek 4758 Dk Noorhasmah bte Pg Bakar was the best recruit
in Law and Police Work. Rek 4768 Jurinah bte Juat received the best
female recruit in Drill Training and Outside Training.
Rek
4799 Awg Azri bin Awang Yahaya was picked as the overall best male
recruit, while Rek 4806 Adijull bin Metali was chosen as the best
recruit in Law and Police Work. Rek 4843 Mohammad Sharoni bin Shari
received the best male recruit in Drill Training and Outside Training.
