Muslims can now have access to
locally-produced non-carbonated drinks for their Hari Raya or Ramadhan
needs.
Thanks to a local company Ori
Enterprise, Bruneians are now able to get another variety of
locally-canned drinks called ORIS to add to the variety of soft-drinks
available in the market.
The addition of locally produced
drinks in the market will also be a new source of employment for job
seekers.
Apart from Malaysian experts, the
company also employ locals to operate the machines including packing
of products.
At present, Ori Enterprise which
operates at Unit 3 and 4, Ground Floor, Simpang 646, Bangunan Abdul
Ghafur Km 8 Jalan Tutong produces 4 types of non-carbonated drinks -
Lemon Tea, Guava Tea, Mix Fruit Tea and Apple Tea.
The technology of processing the
non-carbonated drinks are acquired through a renowned Food Technology
Consultant from Malaysia, said the director of Ori Enterprise Mohd
Hamrie Hj Abdul Hamid.
He said his company is still in its
infancy stage with fully automated machinery.
"The company has applied for
international recognition in food and drink preparations such as HACCP
and GMP for quality assurance and safety," he said. "We are confident
that the local population will support Brunei-made products such as
our drinks especially during Hari Raya when sales of canned and
bottles drinks are at the highest."
