Raya e-cards – for the trendy

Move aside airmail, for e-mail of Hari Raya cards, as the mailing avalanche starts with a trickle with Hari Raya less than two months away.

The new trend is to e-mail Raya cards on the Internet while the older generation will no doubt use the revered way of posting Raya cards to loved ones and friends in the country and overseas.

Why? Because for the sentimental, old-fashioned cards can be displayed or kept for posterity. So move over, e-mail!

Picture (above) shows someone sending a Hari Raya e-card greeting over the Internet. But for the sentimental ones, head for the shops to scan the horizon for good old Raya cards you can hold in your hands - and next to your heart.
