Lookout Kept Against Illegal Activities In Brunei Waters

Bandar Seri Begawan – The enforcement agencies in the country continued their effort in safeguarding Brunei waters from illegal activities.

The law enforcement agencies yesterday conducted a joint operation codenamed 'Operasi Bersepadu Aman'.

The operation started from 7.30am at several entry points along Brunei waters.

It involved more than 45 officers from various enforcement agencies.

In the operation, the enforcement officials inspected travel documents of fishermen and those who are travelling in Brunei waters.

The inspection is aimed at ensuring people travelling in and out the country carry legal documents.

However, no arrest had been made during the operation.

The more than three-hour operation was carried out at various strategic locations at Kampong Putat, Pulau Chermin and several main entry points along Brunei waterways. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
