Bandar Seri Begawan – All students in Brunei including special need students are given equal opportunity and the right to gain proper education.

Haji Ishaaq Bin Haji Abdullah the Third Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education said this at the certificate presentation ceremony for Pre-Vocational students of the 2000-2003 intake yesterday.

He also added that the objectives of the programme couldn’t be achieved without the support and encouragement of relevant parties.

The Pre-Vocational programme began in 1998 at the Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School and from that year 519 students joined the programme.

Ninety-five students completed their three-year programme for the year 2000 to 2003.

According to the statistics about 38 per cent students had the opportunity to further their studies at the vocational school.

An exhibition was also held, showing handmade products produced by the pre vocational students. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
