Sultan Meets King Of Jordan At OIC

Putrajaya
– His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan of Brunei
yesterday held a four-eye meeting with His Majesty King Abdullah Bin
Al-Hussein, the King of Jordan.
The meeting between His Majesty
Sultan Brunei and His Majesty King of Jordan was held at Putrajaya
Convention Centre (PCC).
His Majesty and His Majesty King
Abdullah are in Malaysia to attend the 10th Session of the Islamic
Summit Conference of the OIC.
In the afternoon, His Majesty Sultan
of Brunei then visited the OIC Expo 2003.
His Majesty visited the Brunei’s
pavilion, which feature the social economic, welfare and religious
aspects of the country.
The pavilion involved the
participation of government and private sectors such as small and
medium enterprises, Islamic banking and Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas (BNLG).
The main highlights of the Brunei’s
exhibition were a special showcase of manuscripts and Islamic
artefacts from His Majesty’s special collection.
Most of the manuscripts are over 600
years old.
Also on display were His Majesty's
personal collection of prayer beads and walking sticks.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato
Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad, officially launched the OIC Expo 2003 on
Ocotober 14.
The expo is one of the side events
organised in conjunction with the 10th Session of the Islamic Summit
Conference.
About 500 exhibitors from 30
countries including non-OIC countries are participating in the expo.
