Manicures with a twist
By Zureena Abdullah

A range of nail art designs offered by salons in the country.
Gone are the days of one-colour nail
polish. Today women are spotted with nails of various designs such as
drawings and favourite cartoon characters. The nail-work lasting up to
two months, the popularity seems to be on the rise. When nail art was
first introduced to the market, it was seen as a lavish beauty treat.
A typical work could set a person back as much as B$30.
But these days, an average manicure
costs B$10. With increasing competitiveness, more salons are offering
nail art in order to gain business advantage. There are also more
designs made available than ever before.
Nail art is one of the must-have
fashion accessories in the modern world, especially with the Hari Raya
festival just around the corner.
