Man Charged For Alleged Rape of 12-Year-Old

Bandar Seri Begawan - A local man, Awangku Fauzie Pengiran Kassim, facing a charge of rape in the Intermediate Court was released on a $10,000 bail.

Prosecuting Officer Adina Mohd Aliddin is charging Awangku Fauzie of allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl.

It happened on or about February 3 last year in Kg Perpindahan Tungku, Gadong, the court heard.

If convicted, he faces jail term of up to 30 years and whipping of up to 12 strokes.
