Queen of cookery here to teach locals

On Wednesday evening, a class full of eager students at the LeApple Bakery Mart learned the skills of baking and mastery of cooking from queen of cookery Agnes Chang, renowned for her cooking talent.

She is a familiar face on TV shows like the Neptune Ten For Taste, which has been running on air since a few years back.

The well-known cook is now in Brunei to disclose her secrets in the kitchen.

Her remarkable lessons revealed in less than half an hour easy and practical styles of baking.

The cooking class conducted Tuesday included making the American rich chocolate brownie, a deliciously prepared chocolate festival fruitcake, chocolate almond surprise cake and vegetarian or eggless moist chocolate cake.

Students were also able to ask about baking tips, like the basic and how to make sure cakes rise into shape.

Agnes Chang has been in this profession for over 23 years and also found time to write three cooking books, that has become bestsellers in Malaysia.

Today, she will be teaching on how to prepare coffee streusel slice, white chocolate and nuts cookies, honey lemon cookies and nutty cherry cookies.
