Minister lays foundation for $15-million project

The Minister of Education, Pehin Dato Haji Awang Abdul Aziz laid the foundation for a $15-million construction project of the new Wasan Limau Manis Vocational School yesterday. He was the Guest of Honour at the foundation laying ceremony.

It was learnt that construction began on March 15 earlier this year and should be completed in March 2005.

The two-year project, which will cost $15,536,671.35, includes construction of a security guard post, parking areas as well as sheltered walkways.

The site on which the school is built upon has an area of about 198 acres which will house the administration, hostel, tutorial, agricultural, fisheries, store, and mechanical & maintenance workshop blocks.

At the end of the ceremony, the Minister of Education tour around exhibits on the proposed two-year construction project.
