Thai Airways to fly to Chennai
from October 26

The Thai Airways International will
introduce a new Indian destination, Chennai commencing on October 26.
Chennai is Thai's 4th destination in India. Located on the Bay of
Bengal due west of Bangkok, Chennai is both the commercial and
cultural centre of Southern India.
According to Thai's Airways Press
Release, four flights weekly will connect Bangkok to Chennai (MAA),
increasing frequency between Thailand's capital and New Delhi (DEL),
Mumbai (BOM), Kolkata (CCU) and now Chennai (MAA) to over 15 flights
weekly.
For outbound passengers from Brunei,
they must overnight in Bangkok. While for the returning passengers
from Chennai, they can connect to Brunei on the same day, when they
choose to depart Chennai on Tuesday or Thursday. Each flight between
Bangkok and Chennai from October 26 to December 15, 2003 is eligible
for Double miles (Royal Orchid Plus & Extra Bonus), but only if
passengers register first.
