Syabu Abuser Gets $1,500 Fine

Bandar Seri Begawan - Chief Magistrate Dk Rostaina Pg Hj Duraman fined a local man $1,500, in default three months jail, after he pleaded guilty to a charge of consuming Syabu yesterday.

Zaini Hj Dagang was arrested by NCB officers in a raid in February last year at a house in Kg Masin in Jalan Balai Raya, the prosecution told.

Chief Narcotics Officer Zainol Adi Hj Ajmain further said that the defendant had admitted to taking the drugs while detained by Narcotics personnel that morning.
