Petrol Smuggler Fined $200

Bandar Seri Begawan – A Malaysian man was fined $200 after he was found guilty of trying to smuggle out 250 litres of petrol from Brunei.

Ibrahim Bin Abdullah paid the fine after he was found guilty by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate Court under the Custom Acts.

He was stopped as he tried to cross the border at Ujung Jalan and was arrested last Friday.

The petrol was confiscated but his car was returned. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
