Ministry of Development Wins Ten Pin Bowling Tournament

Bandar Seri Begawan – The Ministry of Development emerged as the champion in the Ten Pin Bowling Tournament among ministries held for the 10th Civil Service Day 2003 celebration.

The event took place last night at the Utama Bowling Center near the capital.

A total of ten ministries and the prime minister's office competed in the championship.

The main objective of the tournament was to enhance friendship among officers and staff of the ministries.

Awang Haji Saifun Bin Haji Awang Besar, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development, presented the prizes to the winning teams.

The first place in the men and women categories for divisions 3, 4, and 5 went to the Ministry of Development.

The Development Ministry was also adjudged as the overall champion.

The champion received a challenge trophy donated by Dato Dr Awang Haji Ahmad Bin Haji Jumat, Minister of Development.

The Prime Minister’s Office won the second place and the Ministry of Education came in third.

The tournament was organised by the Ministry of Development.
