Crown Prince Visits UBD

Begawan – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee
Billah this morning visited Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
On arrival at the Chancellor’s Hall,
the Crown Prince was greeted by Dato Haji Suyoi, Deputy Minister of
Education and Dr Haji Ismail bin Haji Duraman, UBD Vice-Chancellor.
The Crown Prince has been
Pro-Chancellor of UBD since 1998.
Also present during the visit were
Datin Hajah Jahrah binti Haji Mohammad, Acting Permanent Secretary of
Education, and Awang Haji Sulaiman bin Haji Ismail, Deputy Permanent
Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office.
During the visit, the Crown Prince
was briefed by Dr Haji Ismail of roles and functions of UBD and its
current development and achievements as well as the university’s
future plans.
The Crown Prince then made a tour of
the Lecture Hall within the building and took a closer look at how
graduates undertook their lecture sessions at the time.
The Crown Prince also visited the
Info-Communication Technology Centre and the university’s library.
