25 world oil & gas bodies join SPE
workshop

Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
Brunei Section hosted the third Applied Technology Workshop (ATW)
yesterday at the Orchid Garden Hotel in BSB. The theme of the 3-day
workshop (October 13 to 15) is "Maximising Well Productivity". It was
attended by 62 delegates from 10 countries representing 25 oil and gas
organisations. This is the third ATW held in Brunei.
The opening ceremony was officiated
by Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Alimin bin Hj Abd Wahab, CEO of Petroleum
Brunei.
Hj Zainal
Abidin bin Hj Mohd Ali, Deputy Managing Director of BSP, also
delivered a keynote speech at the function.
During the event, Ms Coedella Wong,
Director of SPE Asia-Pacific Region, awarded the SPE Northern
Asia-Pacific Regional Service Award to Hj Kamaludin Bungsu from BSP
for his outstanding services and contributions to the activities of
the SPE in Brunei and in the region.
Also present was Alias Hj Mohd Yusof,
Acting Director of the Petroleum Unit, who is also the chairman of the
Brunei SPE section.
