Prince Leads QAF In Polo
By James Kon
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Prince Abdul Qawi, the Executive Deputy Chairman and
Director of QAF Brunei, led the QAF team into the final of a polo
tournament, after they beat Pigale 5-3 in a qualification game played
yesterday at the Jerudong Park Polo Club.
The tournament was organised by the
Trijaya Jerudong Equestrian Park (TJEP) in conjunction with its 4th
anniversary.
Altogether four teams are taking part
in the tournament.
QAF
led the match 3-2 after the first chukka, their goals from Ardi
Hamidjojo
(two) and Abu Kassim. Pg Anak Abdul
Ali got both the goals for Pigale. Abu Kassim scored again in the
second chukka to put QAF further in front, but Seu Kwok Wah put Pigale
back into the game with a goal in the third chukka.
Despite a tough battle put up by
Pigale in the fourth chukka as they sought to overturn their deficit,
QAF went further ahead with two goals by Hassim, effectively ending
the match as a contest.
Two more teams, the Hola Rovs and
Team A, will battle it out for the other final spot this Wednesday.
The final is scheduled to be played on Thursday, October 23.
