Brunei’s Education System Praised
Bandar Seri
Begawan – Brunei’s education has always been conscious of world
trends, Mr Allaster Cox, Australian High Commissioner to Brunei said
yesterday.
It is also outward looking and aware
of the need to equip students to be able to compete in today's modern
world.
He was speaking at the prize
presentation ceremony of the International Australian Chemistry Quiz
yesterday.
Mr
Allaster Cox said the number of students participating in the quiz and
the success of so many of them underscores the determination of
principals, teachers and educators in general to rise to the challenge
and encourage students to have a healthy competitive spirit.
Thirty-eight students from 27
secondary schools received their prizes at the ceremony.
