Brunei Martial Arts On World Stage

Brunei martial artists show their moves at the Chungju World Martial Arts Festival.

Suanbo, South Korea - The Persatuan Pancak Silat Negara Brunei Darussalam (PERSIB) did the nation proud when they showcased Brunei's traditional martial arts in front of thousands of spectators at the 6th Chungju World Martial Arts Festival in South Korea recently.

Heading the seven-member Brunei delegation to the week-long festival were Awg Hj Musa bin Pengarah Hj Jair and Pengiran Hj Jaluddin Pg Hj Salleh. 36 countries sent exponents to the gathering, which carried the theme "Encounter of the 5000 year ethnosoul with the World Martial Arts."

The Chongju World Martial Arts Festival is held annually, aimed at demonstrating the various types of martial arts from different parts of the world.
