SVSB to hold e-Biz seminar

The Sekolah Vokasional Sultan Bolkiah (SVSB) will be organising a one-day seminar and exhibition on e-Business on October 25 at the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre, Seria, said SVSB Principal, Cikgu Hj Abdul Latif bin Awg Abu Bakar.

"The main objective of the seminar is to encourage 'e'-activities in education and to promote the use of information technology in business and commerce," he said. About 90 participants are expected to attend the seminar. JTB will be supporting the seminar by providing live coverage of the event through Video Conferencing, which is hoped to benefit some 60 to 70 participants that will be over 100 kilometres away from the venue.

Royal Brunei Airlines, Brunei Shell Petroleum, HSBC Brunei, Brunei LNG, WG Office Supplies, Interhouse Company and many other firms will be exhibiting their products on that day.

Participation for the seminar is by invitation only and guests will comprise those from the ministries, BSP, BLNG, the banking sector and the private sector. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the seminar and can do so by booking their seat through 3223419.
