Repeat Drug Offender Imprisoned

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Magistrate's Court yesterday sentenced a third-time drug offender to 4 years and 3 months imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to five charges of consuming Methylamphetamine and one charge of being in possession of drug utensils.

According to the Narcotics Control Bureau Prosecutor, the defendant Zakaria Hj Alitdin was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment each on six charges of consuming.

However the presiding Magistrate ordered for the sentences to run concurrently with effect from yesterday.

She added that the Magistrate imposed a sentence of 3 months for having in his possession the drug utensils.
