Bandar Seri
Begawan – Early yesterday morning, enemy forces launched
separate attacks at two strategic locations in Tutong District.
The first attack was on Kampong
Tempuan Telisai and the second target was Kampong Bukit Beruang. Both
locations were captured by advancing enemy forces.
This was part of the combat exercise
Hikmat Bersatu 2003. It is currently conducted throughout the country.
The enemy force launched the attack
on the Royal Brunei Armed Forces guarding the Kampong Telisai Bridge.
In the attack which came at about 6
am, the enemy destroyed part of the bridge.
At the same time, another advancing
enemy force assaulted the armed forces at Kampong Bukit Beruang and
conquered the area.
Due to the attack, the 2nd battalion
