Filipinos From Brunei-Muara Top List Of Muslim Converts

Bandar Seri Begawan – Some 323 people have embraced the Islamic faith from January to August this year.

Statistics at the Dakwah Islamic centre showed that most of the converts were Filipinos from the Brunei-Muara District.

Yesterday, the number increased as five more people embraced the Islamic faith.

The conversion ceremony was conducted by the officials of the Islamic Dakwah Centre.

Among them was a 36-year-old man, Awang Balaja Anak Baling who chose his Muslim name as Awang Mohamad Zakaria Bin Abdullah. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
