Rusni Scores Hole-In-One At Empire

Bandar Seri Begawan - Bruneian Rusni Haji Lamat scored a hole-in-one at the luxurious 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course at The Empire Country Club recently. Rusni is an avid golfer and has been The Empire Country Club's Ladies Club champion for two years running.

Andrew LaBrooy, the Empire Country Club's Head Golf Professional presented Rusni with a special Hole-in-One certificate at the hotel yesterday. The lucky shot occurred on the 41 hole, a155m Par 3.

Meanwhile the Empire Hotel & Country Club will be celebrating its 3rd anniversary on Oct 16 and in conjunction with this auspicious event, the club is offering a round of 9-hole night golf with BBQ at $53 nett. Alternatively, forfeit the BBQ and play a round of 18-hole night golf for the same price.

On Oct 19, the inaugural 2003 Brunei Longest Drive Championships will be held at The Empire Driving Range presented by Standard Chartered Bank.
