Children Assembly in Tutong
district

A Children's Assembly was held
yesterday, with Tutong District Officer Awg Hepnie as chief guest, as
a follow-up to the National Children Assembly held on August 31 to
mark World Children Assembly. It was organised by secondary schools in
the Tutong District, carrying the theme: "Best Interest of the
Children".
The assembly was to widen awareness
and recognition to children in education, and upholding children's
rights as stated in the Children Convention, stated Awg Roslin B.
Suhailee, Principal of the Raja Isteri Pg. Anak Saleha Secondary
School, Tutong.
Thanks to the organising committee,
some 600 students from secondary one from all schools in the district
took part agreed in the activities yesterday.
The exhibition portrayed among
others, dental and school health, 'rights of the children' quiz,
student activities, and even divorce and its consequences on the
family.
