A Children's Assembly was held yesterday, with Tutong District Officer Awg Hepnie as chief guest, as a follow-up to the National Children Assembly held on August 31 to mark World Children Assembly. The assembly was to widen awareness and recognition to children in education, and upholding children's rights as stated in the Children Convention, stated Awg Roslin B. Suhailee, Principal of the Raja Isteri Pg. Anak Saleha Secondary School, Tutong.

Thanks to the organising committee, some 600 students from secondary one from all schools in the district took part agreed in the activities yesterday.

The exhibition portrayed among others, dental and school health, 'rights of the children' quiz, student activities, and even divorce and its consequences on the family.
