Police chief at Interpol meeting

The 72nd Interpol General Assembly
was held recently in Benidorm, Spain from 29th September to 2nd
October 2003. Commissioner of Police, Dato Paduka Seri Hj Abd Rahman
led the Brunei delegation, which included four other senior police
officers, to the meeting.
The annual assembly was held with the
objective to enhance the cooperation and networking among the Interpol
countries and discuss issues to fight crime, be it global or
transboundary such as cyber crime, terrorism, transnational crime, as
well as the new Interpol computer communication for new members.
Several resolutions pertaining to
enhancing the effectiveness of the Interpol organisation were
endorsed.
