Brunei attends OIC SOM

KUALA LUMPUR - Permanent Secretary at the Brunei Foreign Ministry Pehin Lim Jock Seng was among foreign officials who arrived here on Thursday for the OIC's Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) on Saturday, Bernama reported.

Senior officials from Burkina Faso, Bangladesh, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Lebanon, Libya and Tunisia also arrived on Thursday.

Observers from several Islamic organisations such as the Association of Islamic Shipowners and the Islamic chambers of commerce and industry are also here.

A delegation from the Turkish community in Cyprus also arrived to attend the meeting as observers.

The 10th OIC Summit will be held at the ultra modern Putrajaya Convention Centre which sits on a hill overlooking the scenic Putrajaya lake.
